Boyer is Back! — November 8, 2022

Michele Boyer (she/her) has graciously returned to fill the Scattered Site Manager position while we are in transition. Let’s hear a bit more from Michele!

You have an amazing work history at Clare – and now you are back!  What is it about Clare that keeps you coming back?

Firstly, I believe in the leadership at Clare Housing and was excited to lend my time and skills in ways that made sense for myself and for the agency!  I love the culture at Clare, and the mission, and the people who are associated with it (staff, volunteers and residents alike).  I saw a great opportunity to return to the agency that was a “win-win” !!

Tell us what you are most excited about in this new role.

The position I am moving into is a great combination for me because it involves both the management of a program (and a lot of math, which I love!) but also provides many opportunities for direct client contact. The position still comes with its fair share of responsibilities, but with less overall stress than my previous role!  So now I can support Phoebe & Leah & the rest of the team from this perch; and I think that will be very fun & fulfilling for me.

What would you say to someone thinking about working at Clare Housing?

DO IT!  I think Clare has done an extraordinary job in trying to create a healthy, fun and sustainable place to work for its direct-line staff persons and for its managers.  Clare is committed to doing everything it can to provide a living wage to its employees while delivering amazing services to our clients. It’s a fun and important thing to be a part of!

Tell us a fun or surprising fact about you, or about what you like to do in your free time!

I like to do lots of different things in my free time!  I’ve always been involved in lots of physical activities, this year it has included hiking, mountain biking, broomball, downhill skiing and the “sport of the old people” – pickleball!  I have also really gotten into yoga this year.  Last but not least, my wife Melissa and I enjoy traveling and hope to do more of it together now that our kids are grown!
