Clare Housing welcomes Jenny Harding, new director of advancement — July 28, 2021

We are also happy to welcome Jenny Harding as our new director of advancement. She will manage our outreach efforts including communications and development, so watch for her messages in your inbox, and her presence at our fundraising events like a Place to Call Home on September 18. Here’s a little bit more about Jenny!

What attracted you to Clare Housing and its work?
I’m thrilled to be working for an organization with such a compassionate mission. I’m impressed by how the staff and leadership have adapted both services and housing over the years to meet the changing needs of those living with HIV. The organization is also known for having a really healthy culture.

Tell us a bit about your background and how you expect to use some of these skills with us.
The Twin Cities has an incredibly robust nonprofit community which I’m proud to have been part of for 25 years. I’ve worked in the development role for organizations of varying sizes and missions, sometimes as the sole development person, but usually as part of a team.

I have a lot of experience with writing and grant management and familiarity with foundations and government agency processes. I expect this will come in handy! But I also have people skills and what I’m most looking forward to is getting to know our donors – how they were introduced to the organization, what it is they value about the mission, and how we can work together to find new ways to advance our work.

Is there anything unique to your values that you are looking forward to bringing to this role?
The value I most cherish is compassion, and it seems like that’s something that drives so much of what happens at Clare Housing. I’m so happy to be in a role that I hope will help inspire that same emotion in others and invite them to demonstrate their own personal values.

Tell us a fun or surprising fact about you, or about what you like to do in your free time!
I have a great passion for mythology, folklore, and dream interpretation – all things Jungian.
