Samuel Granum promoted to Healthcare Liaison — June 28, 2023

Samuel Granum (he/him) has been with Clare Housing for over a decade, and has recently accepted a new position as Healthcare Liaison for Bloom Lake Flats. Let’s learn a little more about him!

Can you tell us what initially attracted you to working with Clare Housing?

I started working at Clare back in college. After graduating I enjoyed the work so stayed at it. I think what kept me around was the connections I’d made with staff and residents in the care homes.

Tell us a bit about your work history and how you expect this experience to inform your NEW role.

Well I’ve been a caregiver for twelve years. In that time I’ve found that listening to peoples stories and getting to know them really builds the trust which is key to productive outcomes. I’ve focused a lot on being person centric and I’m really hoping to carry that forward with me into Bloom Lake.

Tell us a fun or surprising fact about you, or about what you like to do in your free time!

I’ve had a pet turtle named Sheldon for 24 years.
