Statement Regarding the Verdict of the Derek Chauvin Trial — April 22, 2021

We are relieved there was accountability in the trial verdict of Derek Chauvin. Together, we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with those who understand that accountability is only the first step. We must continue to march towards justice — a society where murders like Mr. Floyd’s at the hands of the police no longer happen.
