A full day of advocacy at HIV on the Hill

44 people stand on the Capitol Lawn holding a sign that says Fund HIV Care - Save Lives

Clare Housing, The Aliveness Project, and other groups from the HIV Public Policy Coalition headed to the Capitol again on April 15, 2026 for HIV On the Hill. We joined our community members to advocate for crucial policy and funding that saves lives.

The most recent number of reported people living with HIV/AIDS in Minnesota is 9,588, and there are at least hundreds more who remain untested and unaware of their status. Event attendees told our leaders that each and every Minnesotan has a place in our communities with access to HIV care and prevention.

Here’s some of what we accomplished at HIV on the Hill on April 15, 2026. There were 224 total advocacy actions.

  • 29 meetings with our lawmakers

  • 64 postcards written to Minnesota state representatives

  • 46 emails sent on behalf of friends, family, and our community

Thank you all for showing up. Our collective voice is powerful!
